Changing Seats During Music Bingo Without Mixing Up Cards

Someone wants a better view, friends arrive at another table, or a chair becomes uncomfortable. Moving seats during music bingo should not turn into an accidental card swap. Treat the player and their current card as a pair until the round is complete. A few simple announcements can preserve the game while allowing people to sit where they are comfortable.
Make comfort changes easy to request
Tell players they can ask to move if their seat is uncomfortable or makes participation difficult. Avoid asking for a personal explanation in front of the room. If a move needs the host's attention, pause at a suitable moment so the player is not handling a card, drink and chair while trying to hear the next song. Clear the new place before they arrive. A chair change should improve the experience rather than create another obstacle at a crowded table.
Move the original card with its marks intact
Ask the player to take their own card and marking tool. Leave the existing marks unchanged, and avoid picking up a card already lying at the destination seat. With laminated cards, check that carrying them has not rubbed away marks; with paper cards, keep them flat and away from a wet tabletop. If the record has become uncertain, discuss it with the host rather than reconstructing marks from a neighbor's card. Different cards have different arrangements, so copying a neighbor does not restore the original state.
Save planned social mixing for a break
If the purpose is to meet people at other tables, announce a voluntary seat change between completed rounds. Collect or reset cards according to the next round's declared rules before anybody moves. Do not switch tables in the middle of a song as an added challenge. Guests who prefer to stay put should be able to do so, and anyone using an agreed partner arrangement should know whether that partnership continues. Treat social mixing as a hosting choice, not a requirement of the purchased game.
Check the new table before resuming
Once everyone settles, confirm that each active player has exactly the card arrangement the host intended for the next stage. Ask whether the music and announcements are clear from the newly occupied seats. Keep unused cards away from empty places where they could be mistaken for an abandoned playing card. The Motown set offers different cards for a group that enjoys its actual selection; moving around the room does not require altering those cards or the playlist. Resume with a short reminder of the active pattern, so the social break does not become a rules change.
